Dominance versus equality
I would like to consider myself somewhat of a feminist. I like the idea of female empowerment and all that Rosie the Riveter jazz. But what makes it hard to fully associate myself with that term is that I get annoyed when instead of female equality that was the main point of feminism at the beginning has turned in to the thought of dominance. This is a random blog but it just gets me flustered when I see some posts on my dashboard. I love the comical stuff about women being dominant, don’t get me wrong! But, then there are the super super serious ones and I am just like whoa whoa whoa, if women are pushing to be the dominating chromosome and putting down males altogether, isn’t that being hypocritical? In my opinion women rights should be focused on equality not shifted towards full dominance. I am all for a lady in a mans dress suit (shoot one of my dreams is for Karl Lagerfeld to make me one), but I am not for let’s say a women’s written freedom to use the men’s urinal and invade their obvious right of space. I love me my Beyonce and yes Girls may (can) run the world, but let’s not get to selfish silly williezz.
