One of the coolest guys that I don’t even know.

I meant to blog about this a while back and luckily was reminded about it when I drove past the Mira Mesa Mall. You know that homeless guy that walks around with a shopping cart? I heard through the grape vine that he is crazy and digs through the CVS trash cans in hopes of finding left over pills. I once saw him peeing on the street shamelessly when I drove to work and once my mom tried to give him a loaf of bread but got scared when she approached him cause his genitals were showing. She described the scene by stating he laughed at her when she ran back to her car scared. Also one time we gave him an In-N-out burger because he was just staring at us in front of the drive thru. Anyway, this isn’t the point to this blog to define his craziness. I don’t even know him so I try real hard to not pass judgement entirely based on gossip. Also, even if he was a little out there before he was homeless, I have grew up watching this guy from a distance and who could blame him for being who he is?

ANYWAY, back to my purpose.

There is this guy that I always see’s that watches him from a distance or stands right next to him. After glancing a few times before, I took the time to actually look what he was doing. This is what I observed. This guy doesn’t only give him a full on chick-fil-a meal (almost everyday i’m assuming, since he is always there) sometimes along with Mountain dews or coffee, he waits to make sure he is eating it or confirmation that he is eating. I never see him full on talk to the homeless guy, he walks up and gently places the food, sometimes laying it out like a picnic and then walks off to the side, usually a couple feet back and watches , in what I believe, to make sure he is eating. Maybe even to keep him company.

This guy is fucking awesome, no matter how much I try to be a good person in our community there is always things I hold myself back on doing either by fear, ignorance or plain laziness. This cool fellow takes his time by doing simple things like this. Ahhh it makes me smile. :)

I really hope that guy wins the lottery or something.
